First Year Students
First year students coming in the fall and living on campus will receive their U Cards from the Office of Residential Life around moving in. Students not living on campus, or are new to campus spring or summer term, will need to pick their U Card up at the Business/U Card Office in Behmler Hall.
Transfer Student
Transfer students coming in the fall and living on campus will receive their U Cards from the Office of Residential Life around moving in. Students not living on campus, or are new to campus spring or summer term, will need to pick their U Card up at the Business/U Card Office in Behmler Hall
If you have a U Card from another U of M campus, you will be required to get a U of M Morris U Card in order to access campus-specific technology.
PSEO Students
PSEO students can receive their U Card at the U Card Office when they are on campus.
If you receive a U Card as a PSEO student and then apply and are accepted to the UMN Morris for your Undergraduate Education, you will use the same U Card. You are only eligible for a free U Card every 5 years.
College In the Schools (CIS) Students
CIS teachers may request U Cards be mailed to their classroom by submitting students’ photos to the U Card Office. To start this process please email [email protected] and indicate you wish to receive U Cards for your CIS students.
Online Students
Students enrolled exclusively in online courses at UMM must be registered for classes a minimum of 24 hours prior to obtaining a U Card.
Note: University entitlements are based on current status only, not future status.
New Students (full time & part time)
Full time and part time students who have enrolled in the University of Minnesota Morris are eligible for a U Card.
Transfer Students
Transfer students who have enrolled in the University of Minnesota Morris are eligible for a U Card.
Transfer students who are transferring from a University of Minnesota system campus (Crookston, Duluth, Rochester, Twin Cities) are eligible for a free University of Minnesota Morris U Card.
Continuing Education Students
Continuing Education Students who are fully enrolled in at least one class are eligible for a U Card.
CIS and PSEO Students
PSEO students who are enrolled in at least one class at the University of Minnesota Morris are eligible for a U Card.
CIS students who are taking a class through the University of Minnesota Morris are eligible to receive a U Card through their CIS teacher.

Faculty and Staff
Staff and Faculty must be entered into the Human Resources Management System (HRMS)/PeopleSoft before they can get a U Card (this includes both paid and unpaid appointments).
Eligible appointments for a U Card include: faculty, academic staff, staff, retired faculty, retired academic staff, retired staff and Regents.

Affiliated Staff or Student (Sponsored Account)
Affiliated Academic Staff, Affiliated Staff, Affiliated Students, Visiting Students and short-term employees must be sponsored by a University department to obtain a U Card.
